The second annual Frankenthon Monster Marathon will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2010.
It's baaaaacckkkk! The Frankenthon Monster Marathon is back for another frightfully good time!
We're excited to kick off the 2nd annual Frankenthon Monster Marathon! This year's race will take place on October 23rd, 2010.
You can find last year's results here
We are a race put on by runners for runners. I have personally run over 108 marathons and have taken all the lessons I learned running them
into consideration to put on this race.
Last year we had an amazing event with great schwag and even better volunteers. We are going to do it bigger and better this year.
We will have Christine-Michelle Chang Schneider back for another amazing rendition of the National Anthem. Last year I participated in 5 other Texas marathons
and our national anthem was the best. Thanks Christine.
The schwag you've come to enjoy is back, we will have custom medals, long sleeved tech-shirts, tech socks, candy at the aid stations, tomb stone mile markers,
and this year we are adding an optional Hooded Sweatshirt with the handsome Frankenstein logo on it.
This course has some slight rolling hills but nothing too major and it is a fast course.
Last year, on the men's side Marc Bergman took us out fast on his way to the Men's course record of 2:58:24, while Nancy Dasso led all females in a 3:29:09 picking up her second overall marathon victory.
For the masters Parvaneh Moayedi took the title in 3:49:18 while finishing her 160th marathon, and Brendon Cahoon notched a 3:11:50 to set the masters mark for the men. So those are your goals times for this year everyone ;)
We sent about 15% of the field to Boston last year and are looking to increase that this year.
Once again, the results are live here.
See you in 2010.
